Outreach Program at Infantaria Primeira Maio

In celebration of Children’s Day, the primary students of MIC held an outreach program at Infantaria Primeira Maio, an orphanage located in the city proper, on June 5, 2025.

A week prior to the event, the Student Council, led by its president Shreya Quessoji, launched a donation campaign. Alongside other council officers, they visited classrooms to encourage students to donate toys, clothes, shoes, and food for the children at the orphanage. The initiative was guided by Mr. Vincent Maghanoy, Student Council moderator.

On the day of the outreach, the Student Council members, accompanied by several teachers, visited Infantaria Primeira Maio to personally deliver the collected items. The program began with an opening prayer led by Teacher Marla Langa, followed by a heartfelt message from student Kaythan Arone.

The experience was deeply touching for both students and teachers, as they witnessed the joy their small acts of kindness brought to the children. It was a meaningful way to celebrate Children’s Day—by sharing love, joy, and hope with others.
