
Spirit Week 2026
Maputo International College celebrated Spirit Week from May 11 to 15, 2026, through a fun and exciting series of themed activities that encouraged creativity, self-expression, and school unity. Throughout the week, students dressed according to each day’s special theme, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the school community.
The celebration began on Monday, May 11, with Pajama Day, where students came to school wearing comfortable sleepwear. This theme symbolized comfort, relaxation, and the importance of feeling at ease while learning and working.
On Tuesday, May 12, students participated in Color Day by wearing bright and vibrant colors. The activity highlighted the beauty and diversity of creation, reminding everyone that life is full of color and positivity.
Wednesday featured the much-awaited Wacky Wednesday, where students dressed in unusual and creative outfits. The day promoted fun, creativity, and the idea that learning can still be enjoyable even without being overly serious all the time.
Thursday was Cartoon Character Day, giving students the opportunity to dress as their favorite animated characters. This activity allowed them to express their personalities and showcase characters they admire and enjoy.
The week concluded on Friday with School Spirit Day, where students proudly wore their school uniforms. This day emphasized unity, pride, and belongingness within the school community.
