Happy 7th Foundation Day, MIC!

MIC celebrated its 7th Foundation Day on February 22, 2025, with a vibrant and memorable event. The day began with an exciting parade featuring trailers filled with students and teachers, each one creatively decorated to represent different grade levels, from preparatory to grade 6. Seven trailers participated, including one with a sound system that amplified the energetic cheers of “Viva MIC!” Many parents also joined the parade, driving their own cars and adding to the festive atmosphere. The parade route took participants from the school through key streets: Vladimir Lenine, Eduardo Mondlane, Julius Nyerere, Mao Tse-tung, and Kim Il-Sung, before returning to the school via Kenneth Kaunda Road.

After the parade, everyone gathered for the main program, which kicked off with lively performances by the kindergarten children, followed by exciting dance routines from students in grades 1 through 6. Each group showcased fast-paced and fun dances that had the audience clapping along.

The entertainment didn’t stop there! Teachers and staff participated in two playful games: the classic musical chairs and a humorous hamburger-eating contest. These games brought out lots of laughter and cheer, adding to the fun-filled atmosphere of the day.

The festivities continued with a Garage Sale, where attendees sold various items, including second-hand goods and, notably, delicious homemade treats like cakes, pastries, and drinks. The Garage Sale was a great success, with plenty of people enjoying the chance to buy and sell goods while also mingling and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

Overall, the event was a joyful celebration of MIC's growth and community spirit. Congratulations, MIC, on your successful 7th Foundation Day—here’s to many more!
