MIC Shines Again at Model United Nations Conference
MIC once again proved its excellence at the recently concluded Model United Nations Conference held at MIS, sweeping the top awards across multiple categories. The conference, which began on Friday, June 7, and concluded today, June 9, saw impressive performances from the MIC delegation, including:
- Jassone Guideone: Received the highest honor as the Best Delegate and Best Speaker overall.
- Neylan Maputere: Awarded Best Delegate and Best Speaker in the United Nations Environment Program.
- Anjika Verma: Honored as Best Delegate and Best Speaker in the Economic and Social Council.
- Ndzua Tembe: Secured Best Delegate and Best Speaker in the Security Council.
The Model United Nations (MUN) simulates the parliamentary procedures of debates held at the United Nations, promoting understanding of UN operations and offering students valuable lessons in diplomacy, writing, and speaking. This year's MIS MUN conference was attended by students from Aga Khan International School, Maputo International College, and Maputo International School.
MIC's dominance in the conference highlights the team's exceptional preparation, knowledge, and debating skills. In addition to their recent triumph, MIC will be participating in another Model United Nations Conference at Waterford College in Eswatini this July, 2024.
Congratulations to all the winners and best of luck in your future endeavors!
